Join Anna for a full-day Christmas-themed Indian block printing workshop, offering time to slow down and fully immerse yourself in this traditional craft with a festive twist. Guided step by step, you’ll explore the foundations of Indian block printing, working with hand-carved wooden blocks and a rich palette of seasonal colours inspired by winter, foliage, and celebration.

Suitable for beginners and those with some experience, the workshop balances clear guidance with creative freedom. Your day begins with a warm welcome and time to explore beautiful Christmas-inspired designs, followed by a detailed demonstration of block printing techniques and equipment to ensure you feel confident before starting.

You’ll have plenty of practice time before moving on to printing stationery items such as Christmas cards and gift tags, before selecting your fabric items. Anna will be on hand throughout to advise on patterns, colour combinations, and layout, and will guide you through heat-setting your finished pieces.

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with hand-printed festive textiles and stationery, along with a deeper understanding of Indian block printing, its techniques, and its timeless appeal—perfect for adding a handmade touch to Christmas.

• A selection of small fabric items (such as zip pencil case, zip pouch or small drawstring bag)

Tea and coffee are included in the ticket price as well as all workshop materials. Aprons provided.

Please note that lunch is not provided. Please bring your own food. Alternatively, the town of Much Wenlock is nearby and there are places to purchase food if needed.
